Hello everyone!
Back to school is just around the corner, and I couldn't think of a better way to start this blog then with some beauty/fashion/life advice for all of you. I'm thinking of doing a series of blogposts concerning skincare, makeup tips, nail tutorials, fashion for back to school, etc. My classes star on September, 9th, so I still have about 3 weeks to mentally and physically prepare for it, but if you start school earlier or if you already started, I hope these tips will be useful for you!
The topic I'm adressing today is going away for college, fresh starts and fighting for what you want. I will tell you my personal story first. I am about to start my sophomore year in college, however, I am moving away to a different country to study abroad for the next five years. I started college in Spain, but since I'm french and I was used to the french system, I didn't adapt well. I was sad because I didn't like the classes, I felt like it was just so easy that there was no challenge, but at the same time I felt like I was learning nothing and freaked out thinking what a bad lawyer I was going to be because I felt like I knew nothing! So around november 2012 I talked to my mom about moving to France. I searched universities on the internet, I talked to some of my old high school teachers and I decided that I wanted to move there. It was a hard decision to make, leaving behind my family (they all live in Spain), my friends, my boyfriend (who is also going to France but not to the same city), but I know it is the best for me, and I will eventually be happy.
The point of this post is to tell you not to be afraid of changes. I know they are scary, but most of the times they can be good! So if you are moving away for college or switching schools and a bit scared of what might happen, just remember that everyone is just as scared as you are and wanting to make new friends as soon as possible. Be pacient, focus on what you want and always BE YOURSELF. Also, keep in mind that the sacrifices that you make today will have their reward in the future, so stay true to your goals and never give up, no matter how hard things can get.
That's all for today! I hope you found liked this and found it useful! Stay tuned for more back to school blogposts!
~Alex~
